Mixed Signal Design Engineer (m/f/d)
What we do and are proud of
Whether at home, on stage, or in the studio, beginner or professional.
Our multi-disciplinary team is well-connected to the music industry, some of them even are active musicians or touring audio engineers. Our work begins with a devotion to technical excellence and ends with the microphone our customers love.
We value creative craziness, innovative thinking, flexibility, and good ideas over strict rules. Here at LEWITT, you can thrive in a respectful and agile environment with an environmentally-friendly no a-holes policy.
Did we already mention our modern office space with a rooftop panorama terrace and a recording studio that looks like a spaceship? No? It’s pretty epic. There’s also the option to work in your pajamas from home sometimes if you prefer, but to be honest our dress code is super casual anyways. Plus, we are representing more than 20 nationalities, a good chance to refresh your foreign language conversational skills, exchange recipes or talk about bands.
Your responsibilities
- Digital circuit and system design: Designs high speed, complex digital systems according to the requirement. Deals with timing analysis, timing optimization, clock synthesis, and signal integrity
- Mixed signal circuit design: Though the data processed is digital, it needs to be derived from analog and converted back to the same form; thus, experience in both areas is a must
- Processors and Applications: complete understanding of microprocessors and controllers. Must have deep knowledge about the different interfacing techniques and programming of the parts used especially for audio interface designs.
- Design for Test and manufacturability: The design for test involves the addition of testability features to the board, invoking easy testing procedures, and accurate debugging during production
- Hardware implementation, architecture and layout: Effective planning, placement, and routing using schematics software such as Altium.
- Simulation: Proficiency in circuit modeling and simulation, including SPICE models and worst-case corner selection as well as complete design validation.
- Generates bill of material (BOM) from the circuit taking consideration for long lead-time, budget, implications of cost and potential obsolescence.
- Deep understanding of tool algorithms for noise glitch, cross-talk delay, signal integrity, SNR, THD … etc
- Good knowledge of firmware and its implementation
